2018 Wedding Trends We Love

A new year brings new creative ways to celebrate. So what’s next in weddings? We've scoured the web to pick our favorite trends. We can't wait for the season to start to see how you incorporate the ones we love.

Texture

In 2018, more is more. Guests want details they can interact with. Persian rugs create dance floors while layers of lace don the tables. Laser cut overlays and geode cut cakes are just some of the new ideas that guests will notice. Don't be afraid to play with different textures and elements.

Cascading Bouquet

A decade ago, bouquets were petite and sweet. For 2018, the bigger the bouquet, the better. Bouquets will be lush and wild! Think dahlias, daisies, and dogwoods. Your bouquet doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. These wildflowers are as inexpensive as they are beautiful. We love the fresh and foraged florals from Bear Roots

Suspended Florals

Suspended arrangements started to appear in some of the most stylish weddings of 2017. This year expect to see an even more creative approach to floral displays. Tables will be simple, with small clusters of vases containing one or two types of flowers. Ceiling treatments will be over the top! Use different heights and viewpoints to add interest to any space. #StatementPiece

Woodsy is The New Rustic

For the past several seasons, rustic barns and mason jars have been bridal go-tos. In 2018, woodsy will be the new rustic—a look that’s still relaxed but a bit more elevated. You’ll notice fewer burlap accessories and more wooden details like stumps, chandeliers, and table numbers. This trend also includes a lot of greenery. We LOVE these naked wood tables in the great outdoors.

The Color of 2018: Ultra Violet

According to the Pantone Color Institute, the color of 2018 is Ultra Violet Pantone 18-3838  “a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade” that communicates “originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.” You could infuse this color into your wedding palette or incorporate the color in one statement piece like this velvet couch we are DYING over. Jenny Yoo has a gorgeous line of purple bridesmaids’ gowns but don’t be afraid to use this color in other creative ways. Try it in small accents in your boho lounge or spoil your girls with an Ultra Violet mani/pedi.
