Q: What do I need to pull the Teardrop?
A: You need a Class I rated or higher hitch installed with 2" ball and the hitch should be approximately 18"-21" in height. You also need a 7 blade electrical hookup for tail lights or an adaptor as well as working brakes, signals and tail lights.
Q: What do I need to do before my trip?
A: You will need to confirm that you have the correct hitch requirements and that you have current auto liability insurance that extends to the tow vehicle. Most auto policies include this within their policies but for some that do not include this you may need to request a "rider" that extends your coverage to the tow vehicle. Confirm that all drivers are at least 25 years of age, have a valid driver's license, are permissible drivers on the auto insurance and will be present at the time of pick up. On the day of your pick up, the teardrop the renter must be present, you must provide a major credit card for a security deposit and bring a valid driver's license.
Q: Can I rent the teardrop for one night?
A: Monday through Thursday the teardrop can be rented for one night. We have a two night minimum for weekend rentals and a three night minimum holidays.
Q: When can I pick up the teardrop? When do I need to drop off the teardrop?
A: Pick-up times are between 10 and 12 daily. Drop off times are between 4 and 6 daily.
Q: What happens if I cancel my trip?
A: If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your trip you will receive a full refund. If you cancel with less than 30 days to your trip there will be no refund.
Q: Are there additional costs?
A: You are responsible for all damages and are expected to return the teardrop in the exact condition as the day you picked it up. There will be a cleaning cost of $100 if teardrop is not returned in the clean condition as rented. There is no smoking in the trailer. Any detection of smoke will result in the loss of your security deposit plus cost of cleaning and will be charged to the credit card on file. No pets are allowed in the trailer.
